If you want to use font sizes in beamer smaller than 8pt, you won’t in principle be able to do so, since beamer considers them too small. To change the size within the math environment, try the following. \documentclass {article} \usepackage {caption} \captionsetup {font=footnotesize} \begin {document} some regular text set in \verb|\normalsize|.

That Does Not Mean That Only These Three Sizes Can Be Used, It Is Only The Size Of The Normalsize Font.

Therefore the font size of the complete heading was decreased (see comments in code). \setbeamerfont {normal text} {size=\small} won’t work. [8pt], [9pt], [10pt], [11pt], [12pt], [14pt], [17pt], [20pt], [bigger], and [small].

So If You Used The Following Documentclass Command.

Replacing \documentclass {beamer} to \documentclass [14pt] {beamer} , all font sizes will be shifted where the normal size now is 14pt instead of 11pt. Tiny, scriptsize, footnotesize, small, normalsize, large, large, large, huge, huge. Here is a list of latex relative font sizes.

If You Apply \Small For The Whole Tabular, And You Want A Specific Cell To Be Even Smaller, Then You Need To Use An Even Smaller Fontsize In A Specific Cell (Like \Footnotesize ).

This answer is not useful. This could be changed to 11pt or 12pt as a option of documentclass. One have to include the usepackage lmodern for example.

\Huge \Huge \Large \Large \Large \Normalsize (Default) \Small \Footnotesize \Scriptsize \Tiny A Table Of The Exact Font Sizes In Points Can Be Found On Wikibooks.

To change the size within the math environment, try the following. By using the default font you won't get a font size smaller than tiny. \end {document} after this is done, the following command can be used:

Latex Font Size Per Default Latex Use A Font Size Of 10Pt (Depending Of The Used Documentclass Article, Report, Book Und Letter ).

I am using pdflatex in texworks. \documentclass [12pt] {article} then you would use small to get a smaller font in your captions: Set a fontsize (\small, \tiny, etc.) before the \begin{tabular}, then all cells will have this fontsize use the fontsize only within a cell, then only this cell will have this fontsize note also:
